President

The game is made up of rounds. And a round is made up of tricks.

In a trick, each player must play a card (or cards) equal to or higher than the last player. Or, they can pass and sit out the rest of the trick.

After no-one can play, the last player to play a card starts the next trick. And tricks continue until everyone is out of cards.

Basic Rules

• Card Order: 3 (lowest) → 4 → 5 → 6 → 7 → 8 → 9 → 10 → J → Q → K → A → 2 (highest)
• Trump Card: 2 trumps all other cards & instantly ends a trick
• Play Card(s): On your turn, play card(s) equal or higher in rank than the previous play; the number of cards must also be equal or higher (ie. double, triple, 4-of-a-kind), for example:
  • If the previous player played a 5, you can play any card 5 or higher, or a pair/double/triple/4-of-a-kind 5 or higher
  • If the previous player played a 10 pair, you must play any pair/triple/4-of-a-kind 10 or higher
• Passing: If you can't or don't want to play, you must pass
• Skip: Playing the same card value as the previous player skips the next player in turn order, for example:
  • Player A: plays a 3
  • Player B: plays a 3
  • Player C: is skipped
  • Player D: plays a 4
• Winning the Trick: When all other players pass, the last player who played wins the trick and starts a new one
• Winning the Round: First player to get rid of all their cards is the President 👑, 2nd player out is Vice President, last player out is the Dunce 💩

Game Flow

• First round: Player with 3♦ starts
• Continue playing tricks until all players are out of cards
• The President 👑 gets 2 points & Vice President gets 1 point
• Before the next round, the President 👑 (1st place) takes the highest card from the Dunce 💩 (last place)
• President starts each subsequent round
• First player to reach the winning score wins the game!
